Mikhail Gorbachev was President of the Soviet Union (USSR) from 1990 to 1991. His efforts to reform the Communist Party eventually led to the end of the Cold War, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on December 10, 1990.
This was my 4th assignment for the Flemish children's newspaper KITS. Michael Gorbachov put an end to the Cold War
and this led to the breaking down of the wall between the USSR and Western Europe.
